A few weekends ago Sevak ran a half marathon in Marburg. We saw him off at the start line, then walked into town to get a look around. He ran great; we met him just in time at the finish line. Then we all went to the Landgrafenschloss (a.k.a. Marburger Schloss) together, and ate at Bückingsgarten, a fancy-ish restaurant right next door. It was a lovely Saturday.
Run well, Daddy!
We saw this nice graffiti-ed sentiment as we were walking into town.
Some guy rowing along the Lahn.
View as the kids and I were heading into town.
I think there are various bridges like this around the world: lovers put a lock on it and then throw their key into the river. I wonder how many of the actual relationships are still "locked up."
The kids liked admiring all the locks and wanted me to take pictures of those with names close to theirs.
Good job, Daddy!
Just some German buildings along our drive.
Spring has sprung!
Thankfully, Zinnia slept during lunch. We were really underdressed (Sevak was still in his running gear), but oh well. They were still nice and accommodating.
Only got a picture of our dessert, but the lunch was lovely too. At the end of the meal, the bill came in a huge treasure chest type thing...didn't get a picture of that either.
