Recent Roseisms

1. She loves baby dolls. The other day she found one under the piano in Sunday School, and she dragged it along with her wherever she went. Sevak and I almost couldn’t control our laughter because she was being so funny with the doll. She would put it on her lap and lean into it, giving it big “kisses” (basically just open-mouthed slobbers). She also kept wrestling with it.

2. She will make clicking sounds with her mouth if prompted.

3. She will point to things. She's becoming more precise, too. She used to just kind of put her hand up and extend her forefinger in whatever direction she felt like.

4. She will put blocks into a box, one at a time. She enjoys the positive reinforcement (clapping) she gets each time she gets one in there. She will also hand you blocks and have you put them in the box.

5. Many times we’ll sit on the bed together and look out the window. She loves trying to grab the blind-pull. Also, when I lie down, she’ll usually give me a “kiss” (i.e. put her mouth on my face—usually my eye or cheek) and stay “kissing” me for a while. She laughs when I talk because my voice is muffled underneath her. She’ll repeat this a few times.

6. She likes to carry socks, rags, mittens, or any other small pieces of fabric around with her.

7. Many times when we come into her in the morning, she isn't wearing any pants (in other words, she took them off during the night).

How adorable! :) Rose has amazing abilities and interests, which I'm sure you and Sevak will nurture well over the years. What cute things she does! She seems to have a very tender heart, constantly-growing curiosity, zest for life, and an innate desire for independence. She's wonderful!!
