Today Sevak is one year older and wiser, too. A couple nights ago we went to a Brazilian Churrascaria to celebrate (and to make use of a free meal coupon). Today we were going to go to Red Robin (also to make use of a free coupon), but at the last minute Sevak was craving Korean. He's the birthday boy, so his wish was my command (plus, I love anything Asian). When we got to the place, Rose threw a tantrum--complete with loud crying and back-arching--so we asked the waitress if we could have our food to go. We ate it peacefully at home, and Rose even decided to sit quietly in her seat and join us. I made paklava for Sevak's "cake" because that's his traditional b-day request. Here's a pic:

Poor Sevak had back-to-back classes today, and he even had to go back to campus after dinner/paklava. However, hopefully he enjoyed the dinner respite. Happy Birthday to the most wonderful husband!

Happy Birthday, Sevak :) ! Glad you got to celebrate on the weekend and that Chrissie and Rose made your actual birthday extra special for you this evening. Hope the rest of the week is less hectic and that you can stretch out the celebration into this coming weekend (although that might be reserved for Rose since her 1st birthday is next Wednesday!)
